Our Story: A Legacy Years in the Making

Louisiana Pecan Shelling is a family-owned business with roots dating back to 1939, when our journey began in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Built on hard work, integrity, and a passion for exceptional pecans, the company quickly became known for dependable quality and rich flavor.

As the business grew, so did our creativity.

In the early years, the confectionery side of the operation was lovingly known as “Lou’s Candy Kitchen,” named after a cousin who sold homemade sweets from her home along Old Highway 80 in Edwards, Mississippi. That small kitchen — filled with the aroma of chocolate and candy — laid the foundation for what would later become Annie Lou’s Candies, a name remembered fondly by many.

What started as a humble, family-driven effort evolved into a respected name in pecans and confectionery craftsmanship.
